Fiberglass With a Realistic Wood Appearance
Signet Fiberglass Doors feature an embossed woodgrain texture that strongly resembles real wood. The doors are available in cherry, fir, mahogany, oak, and knotty alder; each with 7 available stain finishes. Signet Fiberglass Doors are far superior to traditional fiberglass doors. They feature hinge and strike stiles, dovetailed to the top and bottom rails, that form an integrated frame with unmatched strength and durability.
Custom Width and Height
Need your door a little taller or narrower? You can customize your door’s width and height in 1/8 inch increments, up to 8 feet.
Simulated Divided Lites
Signet Fiberglass Doors have simulated divided lites (SDL), reminiscent of old world craftsmanship. The SDL feature the energy efficient patented ComforTech glass technology.
A. To create a structurally solid and integrated frame, stiles and rails are dovetailed and glued at each corner (below).
B. The 3-ply finger-jointed hardwood hinge stile further enhance structural integrity (below).
C. The doors, by a computer driven process, are filled with foam to ensure maximum efficiency and strength.
D. The 4-ply finger-jointed hardwood strike stile gives a solid mounting surface for decorative hardware. The authentic wood look is done with nickel vapor deposition technology. Specially engineered compounds give the door resistance to denting, splitting, cracking and warping (below).
E. The high-definition panel profile forms distinct shadow lines and panel designs with exceptional finish durability.
F. The door’s edge is made of cherry, mahogany, oak or fir wood. The doors come with a bronze threshold and complementary riser.
G. To prevent rot, a strong composite material is used on the bottom rail. Plugless Window Trim is standard on all doors except the fir series.
